A multi-car incident at the August Watkins Glen double regional has ended Kirk Knestis's run for the ITNT ITB championship, totaling his iconic blue VW Golf "Pablo." Plans for the future are uncertain but with time and budget short, an appearance at the 2012 ARRC is impossible. Tom Martin (VW Golf) takes a solid lead in class into the final points race at the ARRC. Nick Engles (Toyota MR2) is currently third and stands a good chance of success if he makes the trip to Road Atlanta in November.
